Sept. 15

Morning Meeting-Used our "magic" marker (finger) to write Aa's and Bb's in the air, on the ceiling and on the floor-we also used our tongues as a "magic" marker. We made an "a" and a "b" in sign language. Then we did the hokey pokey using our sign language letters-"put your "a" in, put your "a" out..." Our quick share was favorite clap. So far the students seem to like the fireworks clap and the cheerleader clap. Have your child show you both of those claps.
Specials-We had music with Mrs. Engbloom.
Special Event-We had bus safety with Mrs. Myers from the transportation department. We reviewed the rules and evacuated from the back of the bus.
Reading Activity-We introduced the letters Aa and Bb today. We also introduced the "Learning to Read" bags and the Alphabet boxes. The learning to read bags need to be returned everyday to school(blue pouches). The alphabet boxes stay at home. Every time a new letter comes home, your child should put it in his/her alphabet box (checkbook box)
Rest Time-Three Bears CD
Math-Dice Throw Game-The students roll both dice, count up the dots (intro to adding) and then put an X on the correct number on the game board.
Science-Our caterpillar turned into a cocoon today. We added our cocoon drawing to our caterpillar book.
